Integration Lead

Manage, negotiate, and build the technical integrations that expand the COUNT ecosystem and connect our customers to the tools they love.

RemoteFull-timePartnerships & Engineering

About the role

COUNT is more powerful when it works seamlessly with the rest of a business’s stack: banks, payment processors, payroll, e-commerce, and more. As Integration Lead, you own the strategy and execution behind those connections. You’ll sit at the intersection of partnerships and engineering, deciding which integrations to pursue, negotiating with technical partners, and rolling up your sleeves to help build them.

This is a rare hybrid role for someone who is equally comfortable in a partner negotiation and in API documentation. You’ll grow the COUNT ecosystem from the ground up and have a direct hand in shaping how our platform connects to the world.

What you'll do

  • Define and own COUNT’s integration roadmap, prioritizing the partners and platforms that create the most value for our customers.
  • Identify, pitch, and negotiate technical partnerships, including commercial terms, data-sharing agreements, and co-development plans.
  • Work hands-on with engineering to scope, design, and build integrations, from APIs and webhooks to data syncs.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for partner engineering teams, ensuring smooth, reliable connections.
  • Own the full lifecycle of each integration: launch, documentation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with product and partnerships to turn new integrations into customer-facing wins and go-to-market moments.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in technical partnerships, solutions engineering, integration/platform product, or a similar role.
  • Strong technical foundation, with fluency in REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and data integration patterns.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing technical partnerships end-to-end.
  • The ability to move between strategic partner conversations and hands-on build work.
  • Excellent communication skills with both engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional projects in a remote team.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on software development experience (you’ve shipped integrations yourself).
  • Experience in fintech, accounting, or financial data integrations.
  • Familiarity with bank-feed aggregators, payment processors, or payroll platforms.

Why you'll love it here

  • You’ll define an ecosystem from the ground up, with huge scope and ownership.
  • A blend of strategy, negotiation, and building that keeps every week interesting.
  • A fully remote team that trusts you to run with big projects.
  • Competitive salary plus the upside of building something foundational.
