Role Overview

 

As a Sales Specialist at COUNT, you will play a critical role in driving revenue and growth by identifying, targeting, and converting prospective accounting firms. You will be responsible for building relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs, and effectively presenting our platform’s value to help them grow their businesses. This role combines lead conversion, solution selling, and relationship management in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Identify and research potential leads within the accounting industry, focusing on medium-sized firms.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, focusing on both inbound and outbound activities.
  • Engage with prospects via in-person meetings, email, phone, and social media to generate interest in COUNT’s platform.

 

Sales Process Management
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing COUNT’s unique value propositions.
  • Qualify leads based on business needs and match them to COUNT’s solution offerings.
  • Create customized proposals and pricing based on client requirements.
  • Manage the sales process from initial engagement to closing, ensuring smooth transitions from prospect to customer.

 

Relationship Management
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor to help them succeed.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients and to identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

 

Reporting & Strategy
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, reporting on activities and results to senior leadership.
  • Provide feedback to the product team regarding customer pain points, requests, and market trends.
  • Continuously refine sales strategies based on market analysis and client needs.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in a customer-facing role).
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role, preferably within SaaS or startup environments.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with accounting software and/or financial technology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Previous experience in consultative or solution-based sales.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work setting.
